Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Review

Every once in a while a game comes along that makes us say, "Wow." Not just, "wow", but "very wow." We aren't impressed very often by video games, but Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has really caught our attention and impressed our staff significantly. In the past, James Bond Goldeneye 007 on Nintendo 64 impressed us as well. Heck it even had a paintball unlock, where you could go around marking people with paintballs. It took us so long to write this review, because we have been addicted to playing the game.

Are You A Junkie? Or A Juggernaut?

At every scenario game, one can divide the players into two basic groups: the action junkies and the juggernauts. Action junkies just run out there and throw paint, heedless of tactical orders from the team leaders. The juggernauts work as a unit, following orders, focusing on objectives, and engaging only when it benefits the team. Who do you want to be?

If you jump at the sound of paintball marker discharging or do projectiles directed at high speeds toward you make you duck and take cover then paintballing is not the sport for you. Paintballing like most sports is not for everyone. Most people who are attracted to paintballing are thrill seekers.

Last week, while driving to my local paintball field early in the morning, I dosed off and found myself in the farm irrigation runoff ditch. I called 911 on my cell phone and the police and wrecker arrived shortly. What happened after this is a horrendous adventure.

Whether we admit it or not, there are still indoor paintball fields that buy or rent in an old warehouse style building. In the past, these buildings would be left abandoned because most people did not want to deal with the cost of bringing them up to code, which usually involves removing the asbestos. Asbestos causes a deadly form of cancer called mesothelioma, should paintballers be concerned?
